Breathing Darker
I am a woman.
Slender and sly,
Sick with ambition.
God only knows why.
Light is my aura,
Yet dark are my eyes.
Drenched with a hatred
That maintains my disguise.
I growl in my heart.
No, they don't see
How my gaze darts and flickers
Never ending, constantly.
My lineage is a torrent.
It streams ragged, and aloft.
Still I keep myself pretty,
Keep my skin soft.
I am beaten, and broken,
And chased from the lair,
But I rise up above it.
I run from despair.

This is how I imagine I would describe how I'm surviving the terrors of high school so far. A dark, secretive personality hiding behind the outer shell, the thoughts always there but never spoken.
