Depression
She told me it’s like drowning
You can’t shatter the glassy water
The green tumbling waves hold your head under the current
Your hands claw at the surface
Trying to do damage to the impenetrable force that holds your last breath
You just sink through
Into the dark reflective world that ends your life
While your friends watch you though the water’s emulate
They do nothing to help you
They just witness you failing to exist in a world
Where if you want to live you must breathe
And sadly, your lungs just don’t seem to work
