Nocturnal
Turn your head away
From the garish light of day
Abhore the bright light
Let your blackened soul take flight
Hear the whispers of the breeze
The shuffle of crisp leaves
Taste the sickly sweet fall air
Surround your mind with nightmares
As your kin and children sleep
Dark dreams will you reap
Your nocturnal eyes will not grow weary
Whilst others grow dim and dreary
for under the silver, crescent moon
The nighttime was made to assume
And overshadow your life
Full of suffering and stife
Walk with me, my tender child
Through the air, cool and mild
And allow the dark to consume you
As it did years ago to me too
