A whisper of the hollow wind
The shallow shores and mangroves
Floating islands atop the murky waters
Of the Everglades of the Sunshine State
Palm trees bending and swaying
A tropical storm clouding the sky
The rain beats harshly against the pane
The glass holding its barrier
The sunshine state’s sun rarely shows
