The Darkness

I lay in the darkness..
It taunts me.
But strangely enough it also comforts me.
Its mystery draws me in.
I long to know what lies beyond my sight..
What lies behind me doesnt suffice.
I confront the darkness..
I challenge its menace.
I refuse to be subject to it..
This curiosity no more will cripple me.
I will not submit.
I will never yield.
I will persist.
I will conquer the darkness..
I will become its master.
