You only existed
When my conscious delved into that state
Of dreamy hallucination,
But I swear
The taste of your lips lingered
Like the sharp reminder of mint leaves in your teeth.
Even though your fingertips tainted my skin
I always forget how your face appears
Like a ghost fading into the background of my subconscious
Until my eyes shut again.
