Sweet Honey
When the world came down
and it was dark
so I put my head down in my arms and dreamed
of sweet honey and things that may have never come
from the depths of the dream I sobbed promises of tomorrows
of todays and yesterdays, they were long gone
from my parched lips
lost, I saw but a single soul
and it was you, not him
a surprise,
but I should have suspected
because you were funny and smart and kind
and he
wasn't.
