Can't vs Can
Can’t; a horrible candle-sniffing word
That makes your nose scrunch up and your stomach churn
Can’t is a shattered life
A broken piece of glass
Tarnished in the blood of a broken dream
Can’t is a word that turns off the brightest light
And makes the darkness darker
Can’t is a feeble excuse for everything
A way to opt out and walk away
Into a land of sulking yellow-bellies and winey chickens
Can’t is a word that scruffs up the brightest diamond
And turns a giant intimating bear into a small cowering dog
People who say can’t are unable to stomach a challenge
They are willing to throw up their desires
Then swallow the tough medicine that is life
People who say can’t are thumb suckers, and crybabies
And they are more spineless than a jellyfish
Yet if you clean can’t from your mind
And wash away its grime and grim
Then maybe you can win
Maybe you could unlock the gate of possibility
That use to be padlocked by your faith.
See, can is a word sparkling with a glint of happiness
A word that can wash away the blood on your tongue
And walk you down the road of immortal love
Can is the opposite of can’t because can will sent you walking down the road of a bright future
Flourishing with time, good health and beauty
