Do You Ever Stop and Think?
Do you ever stop and think?
About the little things you say
The little glances you shoot
Or the little laughs you try to hide?
Do you think of what’s around you
Who’s around you
Or whether you should have lied?
You never know what someone’s thinking
Unless they tell you themselves
But if they’re really hurting
Do you think it is to you they would confide?
Some people are just sensitive, it’s true
But some people are not
However either one can still be hurt
As naturally as the drawing of the tide
Some people take things to heart
Thoughts never leaving their head
Though others don’t have a care to give
They take everything in stride
Still others have revenge in mind
For the people who hurt without a blink
One day they will return
All they have is time to bide
So let me ask you again
Do you ever stop and think?
