Paradise
I sat in the lush grass, tangling my fingers through it, admiring the cooling texture of the shoots. All around me, trees climbed high, stretching their fruit burdened branches into the opaque sky. The wind smelled of crisp apples; I could taste the fruit on my tongue. Flowers dappled the ground, pink and blue and spectacular; squirrels and other small critters darted this way and that way in an endless game of tag.
I lay back, sinking into the earth comfortably. The sky was so blue, so clear. A few wisps of white drifted by lazily, soaking in the sunlight, glowing, growing. I inhaled deeply. I was in paradise.
Time stretched on and on, and so did this perfect scene. The breeze never quieted, the animals never stopped, the clouds never vanished. I inhaled deeply. I was in love.
