Smoke
It burns between my teeth.
My illegal teenage lips on edge.
You light mine.
Then yours.
I inhale and choke.
The flavor killing me.
You tell me to enjoy it.
My lips numb.
Head spinning.
I speak in slurs and mumbles.
I inhale again and again.
Bad choices.
Again and again.
You light another.
We share it.
Every time we flick it,
Part of our feeling goes with it.
Soon I'm numb.
You laugh.
Friends become enemies.
Call me a stoner.
You light me up,
You walk away.
The feeling not here to stay.
Addicted.
Choking.
Almost dead.
I light up again.
