Self Reliance
The biggest lie we tell is the lie we tell ourselves. Whether it’s that we are a good person or that everything will be okay, or the biggest of them all. The three words that control our lives. I love you. We are not only telling someone we love them when we don’t, we are telling ourselves that we love this person. While the meaning of love has now become a lie itself. We pretend, we put on masks for the other players in the game of life. We lie, not only to everyone we meet, but to ourselves. We are so unsatisfied with our own lives that we must convince everyone, including ourselves, we are better off than we really are. That we are better people than we were born to be. This lying game is a horrible and scary game because, if everyone is a lie, how can you find someone to be honest with? While your life is filled with false truths you have started to believe, how can you find any truth in others? Lying is such a selfish act it twists our morality by the core, creating a society that wants to believe it’s dug its roots into the truth and generality of people, but is really just a mess where everyone is on the edge of a mental breakdown.
