Run, I Tell You, Run
You do not see them
but I feel their claws.
You can not hear their screams
but I can
Run, I tell you,
Run
You stand and wait,
for me to show you
what I know you won't see
these demons within me
I run to save you
but you follow, gaining on me
catching me as I flee.
You don't know me
you can't see my demons
Out they crawl
creeping from their holes
flaming my already burning heart
making me wince
this you see, my pain
I struggle and yell
your hands grab me
their claws dig, their eyes search
seeking your innocent heart,
a new home
But I still have control, for now
Borrowing their strength
I break free from your embrace
running faster than before
losing you, losing myself,
trying to save you
Run, I told you, run
but you still wait,
waiting for my heart of demons
to be revealed to your unseeing eyes.
