Fall.
Oh the words, words, words
She would always come back for thirds.
Not to mention the irresistible voice
Every tone, every syllable, sent her into rejoice
The seconds their eyes would lock
Her heart would immediately flock
Oh the joy, joy, joy
He would give her.
But wait, in the distance, she spots a wall
Please, don’t make her feel so small
Now every expression, every smile
She sees the lust
Oh so vile
While it’s still his voice she can hear
She wipes away an involuntary tear
In fear of contact, her eyes avert
For who would want to be hurt?
Her heart is stabbed by the kindness
And the ignorant, innocent blindness
Into the darkness she will fall
Because he would never, could never
Give her his all.

The initial story behind this poem was a female student (me), who fell in love with her teacher. But, after some time she realized that he had a wife and family, and she could not bear loving him, because she knew she would never be allowed to have him to herself.
