Dim and dark
on sunken wings
the melting glow
of tears on skin
and dint of pressure
grasping spare
and turning raw
those gaping eyes
stinging the sight
of what is right in front of us.

The author's comments:
Though this is a poem about crying, I don't see it as a specifically negative way. I wrote this after a difficult time in my life, where the crying was not only about grief, but a sense of renewal and clearing my vision. Thank you for reading.

Yor poem is great. although there are not many words it has alot of emotion. I've been through many difficult times in my life and i still cry constantly. thats why i turned to poetry.

This is really good. I can see through everything that you are explaining. And this piece is very descriptive. Nice work.

Great poem! It's so descriptive and I love the way it's constructed together! And your purpose for writing this poem makes it seem even more real. Good job.=)

Please come view/rate/comment my work, but start from the bottom, that's where the best is.=)

"We've got this gift of love, but love is like a precious plant. You can't just accept it and leave it in a cupboard or just think it's going to get on by itself. You've got to keep watering it. You've got to really look after it and nurture it." - John Lennon

"In my end is my beginning."... - T.S. Eliot

I've recently come out of a somewhat slump in my life and this poem truly speaks to me. It's absolutely beautiful and every line made me go ''yes that's exactly what it's like" Very well done. 5 stars

Yesterday is history. Tommorrow is a mystery. And today? Today is a gift that's why they call it the present.

i like it. i don't no what's going on but i do like the play on words and sounds of words throughout this poem.
