The Simplest Simplicity
A simple life.
I bloom, I fade, I die.
Am I more than just a flower?
Do I hold more meaning?
A gust of wind carries my pedals,
Dreams drifting away.
A hope to prosper.
Is there something left for me to do?
A sudden leap and I balance on a blade of grass.
Will I fall to the ground and finally breathe, or will I be lifted into another journey?
A big nose appears, breathing in the last of my fragrance.
I snag a ride on the creatures frizzy fur.
Soon flicked from my friend I land on the course concrete.
Just in time it rains,
A flood of water circles me
Oh No, I'm sliding and sliding
Thunk, I land in a cool, soft, familiar place.
Once the rain dries a miracle takes place;
I change, I grow.
I am no longer a plain old seed.
I sprout and sprout, taking on a new appearance.
I am finally a flower again!
I bloom, I fade, I die.
A simple Life.
