Sadness
Sadness
It’s a disease
When you experience too much
For too long
It causes your eyes to fill
And overflow
And an uncomfortable lump
Of emotion
sits in your throat
But there is a cure
An unfortunate cure
An overdose of reality
Cold and painful
Forced into your heart
Filling it with emptiness
Nothingness
Allows the feelings to dull
And you to become
Numb
