Mother dear,
Why don't you see?
I'm not the girl
I used to be.
No more dolls,
Or toys for me.
Won't you please
just set me free?

Daughter dear,
There's much to learn.
Please forget
Your desperate yearn.
You must accept
My deep concern.
Once you leave, you can't return.

The author's comments:
This piece popped into my head as a song, with a mother and a daughter singing to each other, the daughter about to leave on her own and the mother begging her to reconsider. I wish I could better explain the tune, but it goes something like: dun dun DUN, dun Dun dun DUN. dun dun dun, dun DUN dun DUN. dun dun DUN, dun DUN dun DUN. dun dun dun, dun dun dun DUUUUUUUUUUUN. If that makes any sense at all... probably not. Either way, I don't think it's quite finished, and as soon as I discover some more lyrics floating around in the mess that's my head, I'll add them.

Thank you! I wanted to add more, but I lost my train of thought with it and all of the ideas I had kind of went off into someone else's head. Sorry!

This hold so much promise--you've done a great job with rythme and rythm, and it makes sense-and is so true-I really love it and please continue! (and i think i kind of get the tune....) :)
