Scholar
Scholar
Extravagant word
Who’s worth such a title?
Who’s deserved to be called?
A person
Whose family struggles
But overcame that obstacle
To Mount Everest?
Another
Who is single mothered
Whose Father: Omnipotent
With will of paper?
An alien
With gilded respect
Who has big ambition
But average intelligence?
An athlete
With average ability
Academic just as good
Nothing especial?
What of a guy
Who once was worthy
Now lacks motivation
Without a vision?
What are they but liars
Claiming what others have given them
The guy is now tired
Of this false word of deceit.
Live up to what you claim you are
In vain is not to call “Scholars”
The guy, was blinded, enlighten
With this word, his pride heighten.
He shall live up to this word
Till then he shall not be what claimed
He shall prove to the world
He shall not be ashamed.
With a quest he goes to seek
The bridge he have yet to find
That bridge which brought him bliss
And he shall walk with pride.
But it is far away
He is still far to be worthy
To claim what others claimed for him
To walk on that bridge without losing a limb.
A scholar he was, a scholar he will be
But a scholar he is, deniably.
