I cover my ears,and close my eyes;
Still I see gore and hear cries.
Bloody hands grasping others,
The pleas of imploring mothers.
Hoarse voices;palpable pain:
Still, I yank and strain
In the bonds that hold me.
' Break the chains,'I plea.
But all they hear are screams
