There is a river
Ceaselessly moving, murmuring secrets
Fluid and restless
Unable to halt the cycle
It runs round and round
Returning to its start again and again

There is an ocean
Sometimes calm, sometimes wrathful
Deep as the abyss
Offering a challenge to those
Foolish enough to try
To solve its vast strength and wisdom

There is snow
Falling slowly, muffling sounds
Cold yet soft
Blanketing the harsh world
With peaceful white; soothing the eyes
And quieting the soul

There is ice
Encasing things both seen and unseen
Hard and unyielding
Freezing all it touches
But also delicate; force can break it
And warmth can melt it

There is a tear
Resting on a child’s cheek
Shining in a woman’s eyes
Rolling down a man’s face
Is it caused by great sorrow
Or wordless joy?

As water is constantly shifting
So change is constantly occurring.

Leave nothing but footprints,
Take nothing but pictures,
Kill nothing but time.

I felt as if I was reading mixture of Zola's and London's text. ( meaning, great work)!
