I Am Numb
I can't say I feel anything, besides the choking of my heart
The tired weariness that fills my eyes
The aches in every muscle, and the pain it takes to remember you
I miss you, and yet I need to learn to live without you
At least for now
It's hard for me to speak at all
The words just won't come, as they're caught in my throat
With a weight so heavy it hurts to just make sense
Time
Only time can heal itself and until then, goodbye
Because I love you as a friend
And I can't let myself dwell in the memories
No matter how beautiful they were
