Slowly shall I rest my weary bones
‘Pon a bier of jagged stone
Too young to live, too old to die
Never shall the dark moon’s light
Shine upon my soul again
Where has the tempest gone?
The storm, the rage, the fury’s call
Where has the silence gone?
The sigh, the tears, the lovers’ song
Nothing, nothing to break my fast
Nothing, nothing that ever lasts

This poem reuses a bit of imagery that was in my previous poem "The Dark Moon's Light".

A bier is the stand that you put a coffin on before you bury it. I used the word somewhat figuratively here.

great job! just one question: what exactly is a 'bier of jagged stone'?
