He who is bound to a star does not turn back.
Leonardo Di Vinci

You see I'm a bit of a poet, and you did not know it! What!?
~Sir Percy Blakeney

Through the dark of night he walks,
Rhythmically to the running clocks.
Step by step through narrowed eyes
he staggers, through a yard of goodbyes.
Step by painful step.
He stoops, and kneels, for one last rest
mesmerized by the marble stone.
Concluding in the dark of night
he desires one to call his own.
Breath by painful breath.
Up again he tries to find
a strength forgotten in his mind.
Now all hope lost, all glass in shards
He kneels before the dark grave yard.
Thought by painful thought.
He grabs his flask to unscrew,
A liquid the devil only knew,
In one last act he says a prayer,
Forgiving all of those unfair,
Who lead him to these things.
Word by painful word.

Dont judge a book by its cover or else it might end up banging you on the head

I love this poem..... It is very deep and I understand it in a way most probably wouldn't. Look forward to reading more of your wonderful work!
