The lights dim as the spotlights comes on
I stare down my opponent from the opposite side of the mat
Both of us preparing for a tough match

The crowd starts cheering
As we both run out
And goes silent as we shake hands

As the whistle blows
I am tackled to the ground
A swift move for a larger wrestler

I stand up immediately
He throws me down
Harder than before

As I struggle, the thirty extra pounds he has
Become clear to my back
I stand up again, and am returned flat to my stomach once again

I feel a shift in his weight and take advantage of it,
Flipping him over with the pull of his arm
Onto his back

The ref counts off 5
And slams his hand to the mat
Signalling my victory

The scoreboard goes up six points
I have done all I can
To aid my team in victory
