Silence
Right as I walked he though the front doors, I knew something was wrong.
The silence in the hallways seemed to drown me.
Everyone in a all directions cried with devastation.
Random students showed me sympathy and told me everything will be okay.
My mind thought of the worst scenarios and built up with confusion.
Chills went up my shoulders as I felt the taps of my reading teachers hands.
She immediately grabbed my hands and guided me to the office.
"What's happening?" I questioned.
"Well, last night, there was an accident on I-65 and..." She choked on her words.
"And what?"
Tears immediately streamed down my cheeks like waterfalls.
From the students crying, from the dead silence in the hallways, my mind pictured what happened.
"I'm sorry but, she's gone."
