Her Struggle
long the night stretches
a note droning on
engulfing all light
going,
going,
gone
far the gypsy travels
outcast and alone
walking on to catch the wind
blowing,
blowing,
blown
high the eagle soars
searching for the dawn
flying through the tree tops
on,
and, on,
and, on,
but not the darkness wavers
it won't release the light
it keeps her in its prison
evening,
evening,
night,
the gypsy won't stop walking
dawn still the eagle sought
the light will not cease struggle
fighting,
fighting,
fought
