I'm not a child
I probably looked like a scared child in his eyes.
with tangled hair and tired eyes.
With tattered clothes and fear.
Yes, he's seen what I've gone through
But through what perspective?
Did he see the bravery I showed at a seconds notice
or the fear that always seemed to slip out later?
Did he see the smile The shone bright every day
or the tears it hid underneath?
I'm not a child, scared and useless.
I am a fighter and trust me.
I got this.
