Behind a Mask
I hide behind a mask.
A mask for fear.
A mask for love.
A ask for the uncertainty.
I want to remove the mask,
but it comes in layers
that just reveal another mask underneath.
A mask for fear.
A mask for love.
A mask for the uncertainty.
Slowly the masks start coming off one by one,
with each layer revealing a thinner more transparent mask.
But I still hide behind these masks.
A mask for fear.
A mask for love.
A mask for the uncertainty.
I wear a mask of confidence.
A mask that says that everything is right.
A mask that let´s no one see what I am hiding inside.
I wear a mask for when I am lost.
Lost for words.
Lost in thoughts.
Lost in spirit.

The question, or rather a query that I'd love to clear is:- Why do you have to wear a MASK of confidence? Why don't you want to reveal yourself to the world? According to me, if you are still wearing a MASK of confidence, does it really give meaning to the word "CONFIDENCE" ?
I would love to get a clarification for my query!
Otherwise, this is a very good one. Keep writing better poetry! Best of luck.
