Coming Home
I wandered my way, famished and weak.
With the winds guiding me, the earth I roam.
My sanctuary, my beloved haven I seek,
So answer me this: where is my Home?
Something was missing, it had always been gone.
As I search, the gliding stars ate my dome.
Without that piece of my heart, life is wan,
So answer me this: where is my Home?
In my journey, I met many strange and fair,
But none were right, none were home.
Then, I saw you, and wondered enough to stare,
So answer me this: are you my Home?
I didn’t dare to trust my broken eyes,
How could such a thing this way roam?
If this sight isn’t true, fate shall I despise,
So answer me this: are you my Home?
Now we've met, but could this be a dream?
I dare not believe, yet away I cannot roam.
I hope that this fantasy doesn't split at every seam,
So answer me this: will you be my Home?
Please, don’t go; I beg of you, don’t leave.
Stay by my side, please be my Home.
On me, you can rely; in me, you can believe,
So here’s my answer to you: Welcome Home.
