frozen
my insides turn to ice upon your
touch
funny because the warmth of your
hands
should've had the opposite
effect
i remember tracing every part of
you
without feeling i would
forget
it's crazy to think we've come
so fat, yet barely moved an inch
and it's always bothered me
the way smoke flows out thick
and fades away
gone before it began
everything is temporary
everything
and when you think about it
nothing really matters
all that much
in the grand goddamn spectrum
of things
so when i think back
to when we sat on the rock that day
and i swear to god
i saw the whole world in your eyes
but nevermind that
you are nothing
i am exhaling
slowly
i can breathe again
