I CAN'T SEE

my body is bleeding
my hands stained black from ink
spilled and smeared
paint a picture
choose from any shade of red
scrub me out of the carpet
i tried to write my story
but choked on the words
before i could let them out
everyone knows that broken pieces
don't fit back together
and we are shattered
i will forever linger in the wind
i am the steam on you mirror
i am the branch
that taps against your window
i am the broken silence
listen closely
set me free
