The stick, the quist, and the sensei
In class, they are oil and water.
However, no matter how much they complain,
deep down they enjoy each others attention,
forever class clowns, one against the other,
locked in a Mortal Kombat
of ones will against anothers humor.
Together, they annoy, insult, and embarass
not only each other, but the great killjoy, sensei.
Now the great killjoy joins in on the war,
They sling one insult after another,
until the great killjoy
has enough and expatriates one or the other to the hall,
to be forever alone in the hall,
his only companionship is his imagination,
for the rest of the hour, as though it were a crime
for them to be themselves.
Meanwhile, the other has free reign
over the killjoys territory,
while the killjoy fights back, to no end,
their endless bantering
echoing through the empty halls
for the rest of the hour.
