Ocean Waves
Emotions like waves
Swelling up inside
Crashing into me
They pull me under
Drag me along
I'm drowning
Fighting for just one breath
Suddenly it is gone
The wave has moved on
All seems calm
I try and relax
But I feel the air stir
Another wave is forming
Racing toward me
It swings it's angry fists at me
Screaming so many awful thoughts
Planting them in my mind
I'm drowning again
But the wave has gone
This time it's my thoughts
That the wave has planted
My head is an ocean now
Forcing me into turmoil
This only brings more waves
I can not escape them
They are my eternal prison
