Dandelion
Humanity is broken,
just like a shard of glass.
We try to examine and fix,
but when we look at the problem,
our reflection stares back.
We become enthralled in our faces,
forget about our fates.
Choke up this world,
to nothing,
but smoke and gasoline.
There the dandelion sits,
pretty and small.
It looks like a flower,
but at heart it's a weed.
We become enthralled in the beauty,
let them live amongst the flowers.
Let them choke up the grass,
until just the dirt remains.
Hello, pretty girl.
Hello, pretty flower.
Hello, choking weed.
