Winter and Summer

The Winter is dreadful
I will never understand how people can say
"The snow is so beautiful"
Many people may oppose but I believe that
The hot, blistering sun
Is much more heartwarming than
The nippy snowflake on my eyelash
It is true that
A freezing glass of lemonade
Would always be my preference over
A steaming cup of hot cocoa
Sitting cooped up next to a fire
Is a crazy thing to want when you could be
Letting the hot air flow in through an open window
In my opinion
The rush of flying down the mountain on skis
Is nothing compared to
The tickle in your tummy from the boardwalk rides
Winter
Is just not the same as
Summer

Although, if you're the opposite of me, you may prefer this poem backwards

The author's comments:
This is called a palindrone poem. That means it can be read backwards and it then has the opposite meaning. It is tricky to write but is also very creative and fun.
