My Tender Tree
In elder trees warped by pain,
Tentacles cross and feed through the floor.
I low hum from the distance calls one and all.
The sound? Desperate and amusing.
Please come to me
My leaf that blew away.
The sorrows of a creature that can't run.
Roots gasping deep beneath the ground.
A lark sparks the sound again.
Radiating through me,
Again, and again, and again.
Until nothing is left.
