The Heart Sound
I place my palm,
upon his chest.
Thump, thump, thump.
I can see it,
though my eyes are closed.
The love he expresses.
His heartbeat spreads through my fingers,
filling me up.
The hollow feeling,
the absence of love,
is now filled.
The stunning silence meets the warm embrace of the heart sound.
The heart sound is like a bird,
singing to it's friend.
The heart sound is like a cup of warm coffee,
in frozen hands.
The heart sound is comforting.
The heart sound is slow.
The heart sound fills me up,
even when I'm feeling low.
I like listening,
because it is then that I feel alright again.
And the only thing I see, hear, feel...
is the heart sound.
