Roses over Daisys and Daffodils
I'm a girl so I'm expected to cry.
So I sit here and daydream, while everyone thinks I want to die:
I wonder why roses get more attention than daffodils and daises,
if I can start to call people by their middle names,
and how lonely it looks to laugh at my own jokes.
I'm a girl so I'm expected to cry,
but I hold back my tears and just wonder why.
