Treasure Chest Mind

What is a memory?
The slightest thought hurls you through a tornado
Spits you out into a hurricane
And washes you up on a coral beach
Drowns you in uncontrollable sadness
Then leaves you stabbed left in pain

Never do you dwell on happiness in your mind
Constantly concerning yourself with mistakes
What could have been? What if?

What good does pain do us?
The slightest thought of an individual,
Imagery of a back drop
Thoughts of words spoken aloud, and unsaid

Forgetting thoughts is as possible as obtaining superman like powers
The slightest scent, color, taste, tone
Like a trip wire to a booby trap attacking you
Thoughts may fog, yet never forgotten
Every move—remembered
Every word—stored
Every person—locked away
Pain is always imminent in the happiest of places
The slightest detail gone wrong
Dooms the mind
