Escape
Wandering through
The lush green forest
I spot a mystery
There sat
A tiny boat
With the name “Escape”
Written neatly on the side
In aged black paint
He was intertwined
With vegetation
That had crept up
From the ground
Claimed by an oak tree
No one knows how
No one knows why
No one knows when
So “Escape” is a mystery
Not to the enormous tree
That has wrapped it’s branches
Around the tiny boat
While moss grows
Humanity forgets
The little boat
So today upon my finding
I decide to sit and ponder
Maybe to remind him
Of who he once was
Of who he truly is
He had forgotten
And that is a dangerous thing
