Blood
I can smell it
on your sheets.
I can see it in your eyes,
I hear it in your voice.
I know that I've lost you
I can tell
cause it's written on your arms, and in your heart
It's in the pill bottle
where your pills used to be
You know he said,
"take one a day"
The first of a deadly trio
marking me with tattoos
and lines of love and delusion.
I forgive you, but I haven't forgiven myself
yet.
