Oh mom...
Mom always said it would be like this,
That it would never end with just one kiss,
That it wouldn’t be easy,
But what ever is?
She said I was just like her,
From her smile, to her hair,
Daddy said it wasn’t right,
So I stood up for the fight.
Why was mama right?
Why didn’t I listen to her words?
Yeah,
I’m just like her,
From her smile, to her hair.
Mom had said,
“It’ll happen to you too.”
Oh ma,
Why didn’t I listen to you?
Oh mama,
Why did I argue, and disagree,
When we’re just alike,
You and me.
From our smiles, to our hair,
We truly are quiet the pair,
Oh ma,
We’re kinda like twins,
But neither of us,
Ever really wins.
We’re fighters,
You and me,
We’re survivors,
Through everything.
Oh mom,
You were right,
As you always were,
We’re just alike,
From our smiles to our hair.
