Something like a tattoo
It's not permanent
But it stays with you
It may mean nothing
A mistake you'd rather forget
Or everything at once
It wakes you at night
Makes you fret, I'll bet
But it was important
Something you wanted written down
So you would remember
Maybe forever
But not now
At least thats what says
Your deepening frown
It happened in town
After a long hard night
You'd been spooked
Had quite the fright
You wanted to remember
Even your drunken state
You wanted both together
So you would remember
The worst night of your life
The mistake you'll never make twice.
