Catching Stars in Paris
What would it be like
to stroll along Paris' cobblestone streets
clothed in the warm night air under the
stars sewn across the inky velvet
with laces of wispy clouds,
to walk in one of its many sidewalk cafés
and scintillate a lively intellectual conversation on art
and the beauty of words with The Lost Generation
and meet Hemmingway and Henry Miller and James Joyce
and sit in the rain together for rainspiration
and pull at the clouds to unweave the stars
for us to catch
in the palms of our hands.
What would it be like.
