A hot air balloon laying in a bed
Bed made of dark holes
Inflating, deflating, inflating, deflating
Ribcage expanding, exploding
Bones snapping, loosening, melting
Star sight lidded and dark
Fading away, fading, fading
Snapping open softly
Awake, ribcage opening
No feeling, no connection
Deep breathing, fire eating
Unlike other nights
Lost in the sky
Beautiful and quiet and frightening
Lost in the air, in the moonlight
No thought, and deep breaths
Above the clouds, losing now
Sinking under the ocean of white
And touching down on the dark, firm ground
With prairies and peaks and pine trees
Lost again in another sky
Dancing away, fly, fly

When I was falling asleep I became a hot air balloon as I thought and breathed and slept.
