Mind Your Manners
If there is something on the floor,
Pick it up, I say!
However, if this thing is sticky,
Sticky or wet,
Leave it on the floor.
If there is a girl in a pretty dress,
Tell her she looks nice, I say!
However, if this girl is ugly,
Ugly, or rude,
Don’t say anything at all.
If there is a man with an umbrella,
Talk to him about weather, I say!
However, if this man is scary,
Scary or hairy,
Just stay and leave him be.
If there is music playing,
Then dance hard, I say!
However, if this music is loud,
Loud and boastful,
Just stay still and try to breathe.
There are things to pick up, and there are nice things to do,
There are comments to make, and there is music to dance to.
Although sometimes we do forget to do these things,
We must always remember to mind our manners.
