If You Die in a Dream
You don't wake up
That's what I always heard
You lie in a pool of your own blood
Although it sounds absurd
I never believed this fairytale
Though now I know I should
'Cause I wanted to awake so bad
But I never could
It was a dark, nightmarish dream
Filled with despair and death
I lay there with my eyes closed
Drawing in my last breath
And as I felt my life drain slow
I knew this was the end
Because I had heard the stories
And knew what they said
"If you die in a dream
You die for real."
And now I know it's true
Because I never woke up
And neither will you
