The Caterpillar
A small, brown caterpillar
No charm or strength
Sat on a dried leaf
Pondering
"I'm not pretty," he sobbed
"I have no worth!"
So the sad caterpillar wrapped himself in silk
And cried himself to sleep
He did not awake
Until months later
When he awoke his friends were in shock
He did not understand
Until he glanced at his reflection
in a crystal blue puddle
"I'm beautful." he whispered, fluttering his wings
He was made up of gold and silver
Purple and blue
Green and red
Orange and pink
Pure white outlined his wings
And the sad brown caterpillar
morphed into an array of color
