A Poem to my Beloved

Your gaze steals words from my mouth
Your smile is pure sunlight, warming my face
Your kiss lifts me past white clouds
And straight through the blue
Loving you is like riding a shooting star
Your hands offer consolation
Your arms offer comfort
Your hands on my waist- how lucky that they're there
Without them I'm likely to fly off of the earth
Your voice in my ear
Sings steadily the verses of a companion
Leading through the darkness
Leading me home
What words are there to convey my love
You are my cherished one
My treasure
My world in all of it's glorious entirety
Oh that you were near to me now that I may say it to your face
Soon my love, soon
In a time not too far away,it will be so
Together at last
Worry not my dearest...
Tonight we are apart, so very apart
But we will one day be close once more
So very close, my handsome love
That we won't be torn apart anymore

Exercise to stimulate, not to annihilate. The world wasn't formed in a day, and neither were we. Set small goals and build upon them.

Very Nice piece, keep writing!!!
